How do I get the iGotta app?
iGotta is in private beta on iOS via TestFlight. Email support@igotta.net and we'll send you an invite. Android is coming next.
I forgot my password, how do I reset it?
From the app or the website, tap "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen. We'll email you a reset link that expires in 1 hour. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam, then email us.
How do I delete my account?
Open the iGotta app → Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Your list, friend connections, and visit history are removed within 30 days. If you can't get into the app for any reason, email support@igotta.net from the address tied to the account and we'll process the deletion manually.
How does the location feature work?
iGotta uses your phone's GPS only to (a) show businesses near you and (b) give credit when you visit a business already on your list. Foreground location is on by default; background location is strictly opt-in from Settings → Location. We never sell location data and we don't track you when the app is closed unless you've explicitly turned background location on.
Why does the app ask for contacts permission?
Only when you tap "Invite friends from contacts." We never read your contacts silently. You can use every feature in iGotta without granting contacts access.
Can I use iGotta without giving location permission?
Yes. If you don't grant location, the app falls back to the ZIP code on your profile. You can still build your list, share with friends, and discover what your network recommends.
I own a business, how do I claim my listing?
Visit https://igotta.biz and click "Claim my business." Verification is free. Once claimed, you can add photos, post deals, and see anonymous foot-traffic insights from iGotta users on a paid plan.
Are there ads on iGotta?
No. We don't run ads and we don't accept payment to rank businesses higher. Discovery is driven by what people you know personally recommend.
Are reviews coming?
No. iGotta is intentionally review-free. The whole point is that you only see businesses your network already trusts.
Who can see my list?
Only friends you've connected with, and only via the views you choose to share with them. By default, everything is private to you.
